Bookham

About

Bookham u3a has been part of the u3a family since 1993. Regular monthly meetings are held at the Barn Hall, and there are over 70 study groups covering a wide range of educational and leisure pursuits, meeting in members' homes or designated venues. We currently have over 500 members and members of other Local U3As attending one or more of our groups.

We hold regular events ranging from quiz nights, theatre outings and social evenings. If you are interested in attending organised events please follow the relevant links on the Events page. If you have a suggestion for an event or would like to organise an event please email social@bookhamu3a.org.uk

Members can attend the Surrey Network events which take place most months at the Menuhin School. Full list is available on the Events page of Surrey Network under Study Days

Members are able to attend online learning events which range from meditation, mathematics, laughing yoga, family history etc all available free on Zoom, more information can be found on the Online learning events page where you can scroll down for the events or subscribe to receive a monthly notification.

Interest Groups Online (IGO) is the u3a movement’s national online community — a virtual equivalent of a local u3a but entirely online. Like all u3a activities, IGO groups are member-led and member-run, offering a friendly, informal space to learn, share and socialise from the comfort of home. Membership is extra to your local u3a and currently costs £12 a year.

Please let us know if you would like further information by contacting one of our Committee members via the contact forms on Contact us page.
