Our French Conversation Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 10:00 am in the Group guide's house.

The aim is to encourage the group to understand and speak modern French with some degree of confidence and in a relaxed environment. We spend some time listening as each person tells us his/her news (prepared at home ) since the last meeting. This provides a useful personalised vocabulary. Then we might read and discuss a French magazine or newspaper article.

We also follow a modern textbook written for adults , with CDs for listening comprehension and reminders of tricky points of grammar. This has been very successful and much enjoyed by everyone.
